Why shampoo twice?

We were brainstorming in the office today and the topic of washing our hair came up. I thought after all this time on earth I had a pretty good handle on this one. Seems not.
You see I haven’t been shampooing twice. I’ve heard that I should but you know how it goes, that self-talk, ‘I don’t really need to worry about that’. I’m pushed for time in the mornings so taking extra time to do a second shampoo seems like such overkill. Wrong and here’s why.
Washing your hair for a second time and leaving the shampoo on for a couple of minutes opens your hair cuticle. With your hair cuticle open the shampoo has an opportunity to penetrate and all that amazing raw functional keratin in our products gets to work doing what it does best - repairing and restoring the life in your hair. Now that’s worth the extra effort.

So next time you go to wash your hair ask yourself – can I hang out for another day and do I have enough time to shampoo twice. Then think the 3 step process.
- Wash your scalp (roots only) no need to wash the ends. Rinse.
- Wash number 2 (roots only) leaving the shampoo on for a couple of minutes. Rinse.
- Condition mid-lengths to ends ( think the bottom third of your hair). Conditioner closes and coats the cuticle leaving your hair feeling soft and silky. Rinse.
